  1. MIDLAND YMCA BLOODDRIVE. Donate blood and save a life…or three! The blooddrive will be Monday, January 4th from 9:00am-12:00noon. Make an appointment to donate here.
  2. SANDHILLS STOCK SHOW AND RODEO. Get your rodeo fun started at Ector County Coliseum on Thursday, January 7th! You can enjoy rodeo performances each evening starting at 7:30pm, and other favorites like barrel racing, junior livestock, team roping and more. Get the full schedule and purchase tickets here.
  3. OPERATION 500. On Saturday, January 9th, head to the MLK Center in Midland for a FREE meal! Between 10:00am-11:30am you can receive a breakfast with pancakes, sausage, oatmeal and juice! Hosted by Community Worship Center, this is open to the public with a drive-thru style!
  4. EMPTY BOWL DECORATING EVENT. Invite your friends and join in on the fun of decorating a bisque bowl with ceramic glazes on Saturday, January 9th from 1:30-3:3pm at Ellen Noel Art Museum! The bowls you decorate will then be fired and donated to Empty Bowls 2021, a community-wide fundraiser for the West Texas Food Bank. Cost is just $5, and all ages are welcome.   5. MIDLAND DOWNTOWN WINTER MARKET. Winter Markets return this Saturday, January 9th on the lawn of the Museum of the Southwest. Beginning at 9am, you can find baked items and handmade goods, as well as fall and winter squashes, leafy greens, and other cool weather produce. Get all the details here.
