Baby Care Class with Infant CPR Demo. Midland Memorial Hospital-West Campus, Second floor, childbirth education room Suite 260. 4-6pm. This 2-hour course covers the basics of baby care with a hands-on approach to help parents feel comfortable with their newborn. Infant CPR and choking first aid will also be taught and practiced. (This is not a certification CPR course.) Only one ticket is needed per mom and support person. You only need to purchase one ticket for yourself, one support person is welcome to come free of charge and they do not need a ticket. REGISTER HERE.

Art Talk. Ellen Noël Art Museum. 6-7pm. Celebration of the Arts. Bush Convention Center. Friday-Sunday. COA is the cornerstone fine art, fine craft event in the Permian Basin, and is the longest-running downtown event in Midland, Texas. COA has a strong reputation locally, with community support year after year, and draws out-of-town visitors. The festival hosts local entertainers and performers, non-profit organizations, family-friendly activities, and special events throughout the weekend. On Friday evening, we hold a ticketed Premier Party showcasing our juried visual artists to sponsors and ticketed guests. On the following Saturday & Sunday, the festival opens to the general public. In the stellar company of iconic colleagues like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Doug Sahm, and Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard was an architect of the musical legacy that continues to inspire subsequent generations of up-and-coming Texas talent.
