"Thoughts From A Sleep Deprived Mind"

Mike and I have had a really long career in radio.  Mike’s is longer than mine because he is so much older than I am (I couldn’t resist).  We have won awards, changed stations (a couple of times) and helped start a radio station (this one) from scratch.   And when our radio years are over we will know one thing for certain…our years of doing Radiothon for Children’s Miracle Network will have been our biggest joy and our greatest achievement.
We have been truly privileged to be a part of this West Texas Community for so many years.  And in those years we have seen amazing changes at Medical Center Hospital.  The Center for Women and Infants is a remarkable facility and the NICU there is a real source of pride.  For years, many of you have given faithfully to CMN and because of your continued generosity there is equipment in that unit that saves lives.  There are beds and ventilators and chairs that help babies get strong and go home.  The nurses and therapists have the very latest medical training…and all of that is thanks to you!
We are also so very grateful for our friend and colleague, Kelley Peterson.  She has been a part of Radiothon for as long as we have and is every bit as dedicated.  We simply could not do it without her every year.
We are honored to call you Kicks listeners…and proud to call you friends.  From the bottom of our hearts, Mike and I thank you.
