So I recently came across a contest that Esquire Magazine is holding to crown The Most Inspirational Movie Coach of All Time. There are a lot of possibilities (My personal vote is for Mr. Miyagi). But the best part is that Esquire teamed up with some internet people to create the most motivational Coach Speech in movie history. Need a workday pick me up... this might do it:

The mash up was created by Burger Fiction who do all sorts of these types of videos and below is the Film List they used for this one (in order of appearance)

Jetpacks are real. Go back, reread that sentence, and let it sink in. Jetpacks are REAL. They exist on this planet in a way that all the cartoons and random scifi stuff I watched as a kid told me they would exist. A pack on your back with jets on it that let you fly around. Sure there are those water "jetpacks" that look cool but you still need the hose and a large water source. And there were those rocket belt things a few years ago but only lasted a few seconds before it ran out of fuel. Now a company fittingly called JetPack Aviation has invented a Jetpack that can fly for 10 minutes at over 60mph.

But enough words... let's see it in action

It's so awesome!!!

It's called the JB-9. And if you are thinking "Yea it is cool but the fire will totally burn your legs off" well guess what? You're wrong. The fuel it uses is kerosene, and apparently when it burns it the exhaust mixes with the ambient air to create a comfortably warm airstream (although the pilots still were fireproof suits just because they can).

The only downside is that you can't just order one online and start flying around, you still have to be a trained pilot to use it. But if you want to check it out the JetPack Aviation website has a bunch of cool videos and history of jetpack development that you can check out HERE.

The Lightsaber... an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.  Also one of the coolest things about Star Wars... It's a sword made of light that can cut through almost anything!!! If you have never swung something vaguely sword shape around while making lightsaber noises you are a liar.

The original Star Wars gave us the iconic blue for good and red for bad lightsabers... then in the rest of the original Trilogy Luke got super serious with the force and made a green lightsaber.  And then in the prequels we got the epic Darth Maul double-sided lightsaber and Mace Windu's epic purple lightsaber.  And now, in the upcoming brand new movie we are getting a lightsaber that looks like something out of a futuristic Brave Heart... and I couldn't be more excited.

So I found this supercut of all the best lightsaber battles so you can enjoy lightsabers as almost as much as me...

Carrie Underwood's latest song Smoke Break has been tearing up the charts.  She actually released an official music video for it back in August, but since the song has been connecting so well with the fans she asked people to send in photos and videos of what they considered their "smoke break"  aka whatever they do to relax. She took her favorites and made a fan video that was released on Monday... Check it out below:

*Edit: apparently that link isn't showing up for everybody so here is a link to the Rolling Stone article about it:

and for good measure here is the official video she released earlier this year:

And don't forget you still have a chance to win a trip to see Carrie co-host the CMA's with Brad Paisley in November with our CMA Song of the Day Contest
