I grew up in North Texas and my Mom's family is from Kansas so I've had more than my share of run ins with tornadoes. In fact the the month I was born a giant tornado ripped through my Mom's hometown in Kansas and destroyed my grandfathers and uncles houses (thankfully they both lived). So I grew up hearing stories of rebuilding and the difficulties it entails. That's why I want to give a shout out to some of my friends who still live in North Texas, and having just gone through their own tornado scare are getting a crew together to go help out in Oklahoma. They are taking some time off work loading up a trailer with supplies and heading to Moore, Oklahoma to help with the rebuild efforts. Basically donating their time and labor to clear rubble and debris to speed along recovery efforts. Christian Brothers Automotive of Corinth is donating the trailer they are taking with them. So good luck Brandon and crew, wish I was going with you.
Mike, Dana, Kelley, and I will be relaying information on air about how we here in West Texas can help out but we already know the main thing they need is donations so please take the time to donate to the American Red Cross. Text Red Cross to 90999 to donate $10 or go on line to www.redcross.org.
