THERE'S NO WAY THAT IT'S THAT EASY

I've tried a few of the recipes and cooking shortcuts that I've found on Pintrest, and I usually fail miserably. I decided to try one more time... and I found something that worked! Yay!
Fudge is one of my favorite holiday treats, so when I saw the microwave shortcut to making fudge I had to try it.
Here's the recipe:
INGREDIENTS
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 14-oz can condensed milk
1/4 cup (4 tbsp) butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Prep Time: 5 minutes
PREPARATION
Prepare an 8x8 pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with nonstick cooking spray. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter. Microwave in one-minute increments until melted, about 2-3 minutes. Stir to ensure all the chocolate is melted, then add the vanilla and salt. Stir until the candy is smooth and well-mixed. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth it into an even layer. Place the fudge in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours. Once set, cut into 1-inch squares and serve at room temperature. Store excess fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
I actually found the video first, watch it here > How to make microwave fudge
In the comments on the video, someone shared how they use a similar procedure to make Peanut Butter Fudge (which is Mr. Peterson's favorite!!). I used white chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of peanut butter im place of the chocolate chips & butter. It wasn't perfect, but I think with a few tweaks I'll be able to come up with something really good. The best part, I get to eat all my test batches!

SMILE SHOP HELP

I'm really a bit ashamed of myself for not knowing about this sooner. I use Amazon for all kinds of shopping, from gifts to stuff for my daughter at college. All this time, I could've been helping a charity of my choice! Fixing that now. Here's the info about 'Smile':
  • Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice.
  • AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.
  • Support your charitable organization by starting your shopping at smile.amazon.com.
You can pick from any number of national charities, or enter your city of choice to see beneficiary charities in your town. I picked LoneStar Sanctuary as my charity of choice. EasyPeasy. Now it's time to do some Christmas shopping!
