We're fast approaching the first ever Texas Thunder Music Festival. 3 days of amazing music. Seeing as this is the first ever... there are a lot of questions. I'm gonna do my best to answer as many as I can.
Location: The festival will take place in Gardendale, on 158 & North Chinaberry Ave.
Here's the rules straight from the Texas Thunder site:
Everyone camping MUST be wearing a 3-day Festival Wristband.
Tickets cannot be split up for attendance on individual days.
Children 12 and under are free with the purchase of one general admission ticket
General Admission seating is on a first come, first serve basis
If you are picking up tickest at Will Call, you will be asked to show a valid picture ID.
Lost or stolen wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands must be worn all 3 days and are non transferrable.
Under Age Drinking will NOT be permitted.
Texas Thunder reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person without refund who is violating facility, local, state, or federal laws OR whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly, or offensive by management.
Texas Thunder reserves the right to refuse and/or revoke any ticketed admission without refund.
Texas Thunder times and artist schedules are subject to change with or without notice. Notice will be give as early in advance as possible, but please note this may not always be the case.
Cancellation of or impact on the event to an act of God, riots, strikes, labor difficulties, epidemics, and any act or order of any public authority or any cause, similar or dissimilar, beyond the control of Texas Thunder, reserves ticket holder/purchaser no right to refund or exchange, and Texas Thunder is not obligated to provide a substitute performance.
Texas Thunder assumes no liability for personal loss, injury, death, property damage or other harm suffered by participants, spectators, event site owners, leasers or others who may be adversely affected by this "Event" and/or causes of actions resulting there from. Ticket holder/purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Texas Thunder, its officers, directors, subsidiaries, affiliates, parent companies, partners, event sponsors, et al. from any liability resulting from personal loss, injury, death, property damage or other harm suffered by participants, spectators, event site owners, leasers or others who may be adversely affected by this "event" and/or causes of actions resulting there from.
Tickets obtained from sources other than Texas Thunder, may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and in such cases, will not be honored. It is unlawful to obtain or attempt to obtain admission by fraud. All such admissions or attempted admissions will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
No unauthorized audio or video recording is allowed in ticketed event areas. In addition, by entering the event grounds, patron's consent to the use of the likeness for Texas Thunder authorized video and photography, which may be recorded for media coverage, marketing, and publicity of the event and future events.
Valid photo identification must be carried at all times. All patrons may be asked to show valid ID in order to enter and/or purchase liquor tickets in any licensed area.
Sale or distribution of any materials on event site without express written consent of festival could result in ejection or arrest.

OK: Backpacks (medium); Hats; Sun Block; Lighters; Sunglasses; Beach Towel; One Unopened Bottle of Water; 12 & Under Free (except in RSVD or VIP area); Fanny Packs; Digital Cameras (non professional); Disposable Cameras; Film Cameras (non professional)

Is alcohol allowed on site?
If you are of the age and plan to drink alcoholic beverages, please carry your age identification (ex: drivers license) with you at all times (even after being wrist-banded) as you may be stopped by undercover patrol. NO EXCEPTIONS.
What about underage drinking?
Under Age Drinking will NOT be permitted in the campgrounds or on the event grounds-anyone found participating in or contributing to under age drinking will be brought to the attention of local law enforcement personnel, and will be evicted from the grounds immediately without refund.
Who is responsible for the camp site?
Every campsite must be registered to 1 responsible adult-this person MUST be 18 years of age or older. They also must accept full responsibility for the campsite-any rules broken may mean eviction with NO REFUND, absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS.
Who is allowed in the camping areas?
Everyone entering the campgrounds must have a 3-Day event wristband on. Single day ticket holders do NOT have access to the campgrounds.
Can I have a campfire?
No ground fires allowed. (Weather permitting) Campfires will be permitted in confined approved containers with bottoms. Containers may be max 30 inches high by 36 inches in diameter. You may burn firewood ONLY; no burning of processed or scrap lumber.
Can I sell items on site?
No soliciting on site - this includes but is not limited to: food, beverage, merchandise, and entertainment. Unauthorized selling of items will result in seizure of merchandise, eviction and possible prosecution.
Do's and Don'ts
The following are okay:
BBQ's; Confined Campfires (campfire container must have a bottom); Firewood Only; Generators (turned off at quiet hours); One Vehicle Per Campsite.
The following are not okay:
Ground Fires; Glass Bottles/Containers; Weapons, Cruising; Fireworks; Live Music Performances; Swimming Pools; Dance Floors; Staging/other structures; ATV's, Golf Carts, Mopeds; Bicycles, Skateboards, Roller Blades; On Site Soliciting.
What are your eviction policies?
Texas Thunder reserves the right to evict an persons on the grounds of but not limited to:
No 3-Day Event Wristband
Garbage filled campsite
Drinking and driving
Aggressive pets
Excessive noise
Unauthorized sale of food, beverage or merchandise on site
The facility reserves the rights to refuse admission or eject any person without refund who is violating the facility, local, state, or federal laws or whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly, or offensive by management.

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mommies out there. Being a mom is by far my biggest accomplishment. But lately I have baby fever... Fortunately for me, my kid brother & his wife continue to help me out. They are on #4! The kids are 8, 6, 2 & on-the-way... so anytime I need a baby fix, I just stop by his house & spend some time with the "Littles" as we call them. Not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to #4's arrival.

Texas Thunder Music Festival efforts to raise funds for West, Texas
Gardendale, TX (April 30, 2013) – Today, Governor Rick Perry lent his support to the Texas Thunder Music Festival that will raise money for those affected by the recent fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas. The music event that will host The Randy Rogers Band, The Josh Abbott Band, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue, Casey Donahew Band, among others will take place May 17-19 in Gardendale, Texas.
"The city of West has a long way to go to get past the grief and devastation and move on to rebuilding," Gov. Perry said. "In the true spirit of Texas, the people of our state are coming together to help ease the suffering of individuals who lost loved ones, and help this strong community get back on its feet."
"My thoughts are with everyone in the city of West. I am proud of the Texas musicians who are coming together for this event," Senator Joan Huffman, Senate Republican Caucus Chairman of Houston, said. "It reinforces the well-known fact that when anyone in our state needs help, fellow Texans automatically rise to the occasion."
"Our small town is made up of big hearts. The people of West have always given and supported," said Tommy Muska, Mayor of West, Texas. "This event will allow the people of Texas to show their support and love to the great residents of West. We appreciate all the artists that will be giving of their time to make this event a success."
Last week, the Texas Thunder Music Festival announced all net proceeds will be donated to the first responders and schools of West, Texas. The Odessa based firm of Johnson, Miller & Co. will oversee all the accounting and distribution of funds.
"As a fellow Texan, my heart went out to all those that were affected by the explosion," says festival landowner Herb Graham. "We could not sit around and do nothing, so my partners and I quickly decided to donate all the net proceeds from this festival to rebuild the school and get first responders equipment."
The first-year Texas Thunder Music Festival in Gardendale, Texas presents an all-star, all-Texas line-up, with both musicians and fans coming together to help bring support to those who need it most.
